Part-Time Practice Manager

Macquarie Animal Hospital, a reputable veterinary clinic in South Hobart, has been providing exceptional care to pets and their families since 2001. As a family-oriented practice made up of two experienced vets, we place great importance on building lasting relationships with our clients while fostering a welcoming, supportive environment for our pets, their owners, and our staff. We are proud to be a trusted part of the South Hobart community and are looking to expand our team with a dedicated, experienced, and dynamic Practice Manager.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary practice management, excellent leadership skills, and a genuine love for animals!!

 Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Lead Veterinarian to manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
• Mentor and develop veterinary nurses, providing guidance and support to help them advance in their careers.
• Supervise clinic staff and cultivate a positive, collaborative, and productive team environment.
• Assist the Lead Vet in overseeing financial management.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote the clinic and attract new clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and clean clinic environment.
• Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and effective communication.
• Work closely with veterinarians to enhance patient care and contribute to continuous service improvements.

 Qualifications:

• Essential: IV Veterinary Nursing qualification.
• Proven experience in veterinary practice management or a similar managerial role within a clinical environment.
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Ezyvet (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
