The Opportunity: 

We are currently seeking a Vet Nurse/Receptionist to join our wonderful team in Forster on a full-time basis! This position plays an integral role in delivering world class patient care to our amazing clients and supporting our Vets, so we are seeking an efficient, organised and proficient communicator who is passionate about working with our team to build positive rapport with our clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding client care and customer service to all clients and their pets
  • Responding to customer enquiries & be involved in triaging for our emergency clients
  • Scheduling appointments and procedures for our veterinarians
  • Animal care, handling, hospital treatments
  • Maintaining hospital hygiene and cleanliness of surgical areas and equipment
  • Assisting with anaesthetics, surgery, and patient monitoring
  • Provide support with pre-and post-operative patient care
  • General nursing, blood collection and laboratory sample processing
  • Updating clients on their pet’s progress

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vet Nurse with customer facing and/or reception duties within the animal industry/ clinic environment.
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing would prove beneficial, however not essential.
  • An ability to handle a high volume, fast paced, hospital environment.
  • Someone that has exceptional communication skills to build relationships with our clients.
  • An empathetic, caring person that always advocates for their patients.
  • Exceptional time management skills and an ability to prioritise your work
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
