A short drive from Perth CBD, O’Connor is a suburb located within the City of Fremantle with easy access to everywhere in Perth, good public transport and good schools. Our Practice

O’Connor Vet are a busy small animal practice, with a team that bring their special blend of technical skill, personalised problem solving, and passion for animal health and wellness to the community. The dedicated and experienced team provide professional care to small animals with a well-resourced clinic.

We are open Monday to Friday from 8am – 6:30pm, and 8am to 12pm on Saturday.

We are now under new ownership and management - new beginnings!

 

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our team. Morning and mid-morning starts are required and Saturdays are worked on a rotational basis, evenly across our team. No after hours!

If you are looking to return to the workforce after some time off or looking for part-time hours, we can also be flexible with your roster/hours.

We have very experienced vets to draw from and you will be encouraged to further your development both professionally and personally. Most importantly you will enjoy your work in a great team!

If you are looking for career progression, there may be an opportunity to step up into a senior or lead vet position. 

 

To be successful for this position, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia.
  • Experience working in a busy veterinary clinic – both consultative and surgical preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work with fellow team members and build rapport with clients.
  • An ability to work sole charge at times
  • A desire to grow yourself and develop your career.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
