Established in 1990, Belmont Veterinary Centre has become a favourite in Geelong for cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and pocket pets. This large facility is one of only four gold standard cat friendly accredited practices in Victoria. We have a dedicated cat only consulting room with climbing obstacles and hidey holes, as well as a cat only hospital ward. At Belmont, you will gain valuable experience with the support of a caring and friendly team. We are well equipped with modern equipment including Full Idexx in-house lab and fluid pumps, Digital X-Ray & Developer, Dental Unit, Ultrasound and Multi-Parameter Monitoring. To be successful for this position, you will have: - Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia
- Experience with both consultative and surgical procedures preferred
- Ability to work with fellow team members and build rapport with clients
- A desire to grow yourself and develop your career
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Your workday: We are currently open Monday to Friday 8am – 6:30pm, Saturday 8am – 2pm and closed on Sundays. We offer consultations by appointment and can accommodate emergency appointments during opening hours. Flexible working arrangements are available. If you prefer a 4 day working week, we can accommodate that. Your workday could be made up of general consultation and examinations, medicine work ups, routine soft tissue/orthopaedic surgeries, dentistry, anaesthesia, or routine radiology/ultrasound.
